“I’m excited to be AAHOA’s next President and CEO, grateful for the Board’s support and faith in me, and deeply committed to serving this great organization. With its more than 20,000 members who own 60% of all hotels in the U.S., I am truly honored to have a role in strengthening the position of AAHOA to serve as the one and only voice and foremost advocate for America’s hotel owners,” – Laura Blake
Laura Lee Blake is all set to become the new President and CEO of AAHOA, from May 16 2022. Blake will succeed Ken Greene, who served for a short while in 2021 and a part of 2022. Blake has been an attorney for more than 25 years and possesses vast experience in areas of law, government and business.
Blake has previously worked for AAHOA, which is the country’s largest hotel owner’s association, for nearly 10 years (2005-2014).
According to Blake, working for AAHOA had been special as she was impressed with the work ethics of the organization. “I was frequently inspired by the work ethic and business acumen of AAHOA Members, and I was surrounded by numerous dedicated Board members, executive staff, and team members – many of whom are still my friends today,” she said in a statement.
During her stint with AAHOA, Blake worked with several officials of the Federal, State, and local levels to pass laws and regulations that would protect the interests of hoteliers and small business owners. She also worked hard to promote fair franchising.
Blake’s background as a successful attorney can stand her in good stead while serving AAHOA. During her attorney practice, she was able to form strong and long lasting relationships with her clients and did her best to work for their causes and give them successful results.
