Employee-First Hotels will be Powered by its Talent Engine
Mogul Hotels and Residences is the first ESG hotel and residential brand that is work/live, diverse employee-owned, and backed by proven HR technology, according to minority founders with 50+ years of C-suite hospitality expertise. The initial venues will be in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Miami.
Mogul Hospitality’s founders had no intention of creating their hotel brand when they established the firm. Mogul Hospitality’s founder/CEO, Alexander Mirza, believes that the world does not require another hotel brand. There are a lot of hotel brands out there; perhaps too many.
In their careers, his team has already created a few brands in both large and small organizations. Alexander Mirza, a member of the team, created the Waldorf Astoria Brand at Hilton, and the team has high hopes for it.
However, when the business began developing MogulRecruiter, an AI-driven employment marketplace for hospitality, the team recognized areas where it might improve—for both customers and employees.
It was at this point that the Mirza Team began developing and deploying the brand talent platform and engine. Analyze where it works, where it doesn’t, where the gaps are, and why people are leaving or losing faith in the business.
Mirza said that employees are leaving because they see the disparity between the owners and themselves. “They look up and they see these hotel CEOs and real estate private equity guys—mostly guys—making absurd amounts of money. Their employees are doing all the work and they can’t look above them and see a path. That’s the driver of all our challenges in our industry in our opinion. And it’s in our power to change it, and when we saw that we said, ‘Hey, technology can only get you so far.’ Even great technology; even signing bonuses; wage increases. That still is only going to get you so far.”
