Accor has been named an official partner of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. The hotel chain will provide services to athletes and the media in their local villages under the conditions of the agreement.
Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024, and Sebastien Bazin, CEO of Accor, announced the agreement earlier this week at the Destination France Summit. Emmanuel Macron, the French President also attended the occasion.
“We share many principles with Paris 2024, including the significance of collaboration, demanding high standards, charity, and carrying the flag for France on the global stage,” Bazin added.
“Accor is thrilled to be a partner with the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 when athletes and fans from all over the globe will come to discover what France has to offer.”
“Our personnel and teams are already going above and beyond to show the world what hospitality means in France and to provide everyone with an exceptional experience and stay at the world’s biggest sports event.”
“Paris is hosting the Games, and we shall be ready to welcome the individuals who are making them possible.”
By delivering an innovative digital hotel booking platform for Paris 2024, Accor will also use its operational experience in large athletic events.
The technology, offered by Resa Events, an Accor group affiliate, will cover the whole French hotel market surrounding Olympic and Paralympic venues, making it simpler to reserve hotel rooms.
“I am thrilled to welcome Accor into the Paris 2024 family,” Estanguet remarked.
Accor has also just struck a collaboration agreement with Qatari officials in advance of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
