According to Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman’s Department of Tourist Development, the UAE has established itself as one of the greatest health and wellness tourism destinations in the world (ADTD). He credited this to increased worldwide trust in the country’s health sector and services, which have succeeded in recruiting significant tourism enterprises with renowned international status.
This occurred during his visit to Zoya Health & Wellbeing Resort, located in the heart of Ajman’s Al Zorah district, to inspect the first five-star health resort in the Middle East and Africa, which offers a wide range of specialized treatment programs and experiences designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and well-being to its visitors.
Sheikh Abdul began his trip with the resort, which has 61 rooms and is located in a favorable location with a beautiful view of the golf courses and mangrove trees. He was educated on the resort’s health facilities, which provide a variety of therapies based on its three primary pillars of preventive & rehabilitation, exercise, and entertainment & relaxation.
Sheikh Abdul stated that health and wellness tourism initiatives play an important part in accomplishing the emirate’s tourism and development goals, as well as meeting all health needs for visitors visiting the Emirate of Ajman from across the world. The chairman of Ajman Tourism lauded the resort’s health services as well as the efforts of its staff in maintaining Ajman’s leadership position by enhancing different areas of the health experience in the emirate.
Saudi entrepreneur Mohammed Ameer Said, founder of Zoya Health & Wellbeing Resort, said “the Emirate of Ajman possesses many elements and factors for attracting those wishing to benefit from its health services, starting with the availability of therapeutic infrastructure in it, passing through the availability of various fields of hospitalization and medicine, and the presence of modern and advanced medical centers and their ability to attract skilled doctors, luxury hotel operators, easy flights, smooth visas applications and processing, all constitute an assortment of driving forces hauling the growth of medical tourism in it”.
