As per the Dubai Media Office, 5.1M tourists visited Dubai from Jan-April 2022. This is surely a significant gain of 203%. The International rise in tourists has contributed to hotel occupancy which reached 73% over the time across the emirate.
Between January and March 2022, Dubai had over four million foreign overnight guests. This represents a 214 percent increase year over year. In addition, Dubai ranked top in the world in hotel occupancy in the first quarter of 2022, with 82 percent.
There is three global tourist trust in the UAE, and Dubai has improved more as a result of its effective handling of the pandemic and its standing as one of the world’s safest cities.
Per research conducted by InsureMyTrip, a UK-based travel insurance business, Dubai has recently ranked the third safest destination for solitary female travelers due to an extremely low crime rate.
During Eid, Dubai’s occupancy peaked at 75.4 percent, which was 19.7 percent higher than the pre-pandemic comparison.
Talking about Travel trends of tourists to UAE, Raheesh Babu, COO, Musafir.com said that “Right now, most people coming in are part of the VFR traffic (visit friends and family). As it is school vacation time in India right now, most families are here to spend their break with family and friends here. Summer is a busy time and inbound prices are increasing up to 30-35 percent from India to UAE, mostly because multiple MICE events are happening in the UAE”.
“July-August outbound travel to India from the UAE will pick up. We expect that the price will increase to 70-80 percent compared to the 1st quarter as people are visiting their homes and families”.
