The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) will return to the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) next month with the announcement of two GCC-focused campaigns that will start in 2022.
The market-leading international travel and tourism show will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 9 to 12, with a heavy emphasis on local culture and the uniqueness of Germany’s numerous towns. Positioned in the Europe Hall at stand EU1235, GNTB’s participation will strengthen Germany’s efforts to improve sustainable travel and will be supported by six delegated partners: Baden-Württemberg Tourism Board, Breuninger, Frankfurt Tourism Board, Düsseldorf Tourism Board, Hotel Palace Berlin, and visit Berlin.
The two initiatives, which aim to position Germany as a premier cultural and environmental destination, cover nature, sustainability, and traditional culture. In essence, each emphasizes Germany’s primary aims of fostering joyful, sustainable travel with an emphasis on various local cultures that are accessible throughout the country.
Yamina Sofo, Director of Sales & Marketing, German National Tourist Office (GNTO), the regional office of GNTB, says, “Our relationship with the region has seen monumental growth as travelers from across the GCC have been exploring Germany’s vast itineraries for years. The appetite of GCC nationals to visit Germany’s cultural sites, national parks, and urban destinations remain undiminished, and we look forward to the continuous growth of our campaigns and regional appeal.”
ATM will adopt a hybrid approach this year, beginning with a four-day in-person event at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 9-12, followed by virtual webinars and video meetings from May 17-18.
