Jazeera Airways, the Kuwait-based low-cost carrier, officially introduced its new social media platforms for the Indian market during an event in Mumbai, attended by social media influencers and travel agents.
Andrew Ward, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at Jazeera Airways, emphasized the significance of social media and influencer partnerships in the airline’s marketing strategy. He announced the launch of Jazeera India Facebook and Jazeera India Instagram, expressing the company’s intention to engage with influencers, customers, and trade partners through locally relevant content.
Romana Parvi, Regional Manager-South Asia, extended gratitude to loyal travel trade agents and outlined Jazeera Airways’ vision for expansion, including the initiation of operations from additional Indian gateways. She reiterated the airline’s commitment to providing an affordable and convenient travel experience without compromising on safety and comfort.
Jazeera Airways currently connects India to a global network, serving 64 popular destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa, and Europe. The airline, having welcomed two additional aircraft in the last quarter, operates a fleet of 22 and is focused on sustainability initiatives, including eco-friendly in-flight food service ware and ultra-lightweight seating options to reduce environmental impact.
Despite challenges related to overcapacity impacting yields and margins, Jazeera Airways eyes growth in new destinations and initiatives in countries like Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Eastern Europe. The airline has received recent accolades, including recognition in Fortune 500 Arabia, being named one of the Best Workplaces in Asia 2023, and receiving an ICT Leadership Award for digital transformation. The outlook for 2023 remains positive, driven by steady travel demand and a solid financial foundation.
