Kempinski Hotels, Europe’s oldest global luxury hotel company, has won the 2022 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA), which honors the world’s most engaged workplace cultures.
After another year of workplace unpredictability, Gallup discovered that Kempinski Hotels continues to engage and grow its staff despite the upheaval. While some hotels delayed or hit “stop” in times of uncertainty, the luxury hotel group remained loyal to its organizational principles and showed resiliency, drive, and dedication to making its employees a priority.
“As an award winner, Kempinski now ranks among the elite organizations around the globe and is in fact, amongst the first European companies to ever win this,” states Melissa Salibi, Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Kempinski Hotels Management Board.
The Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award was established in 2007 and is Gallup’s most sought-after distinction for firms with engaged workplace cultures. The goal of this distinguished award is to recognize and celebrate businesses that achieve extraordinary performance by cultivating an engaged culture.
And Melissa Salibi adds: “Receiving this recognition, is not just about having a good engagement score, but rather about organically creating and maintaining a culture that revolves around the employee experience and wellbeing. Companies must comply with a stringent set of requirements to even qualify as nominees, and achievement by itself, and a panel of judges which review all applications and complete the selection of winners.”
After being ranked #1 in the Travel and Leisure Industry on Forbes World’s Best Employers List 2021, this is another prestigious honor for Kempinski, highlighting not only the collective commitment to developing talents and refining their skills but also providing a workplace where sharing a strong sense of community and belonging is essential.
