Several Malaysian brands and businesses have been named winners in the Asia section of the 29th World Travel Awards (WTA). Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, and One World Hotel are among the enterprises that have won recognition.
Graham Cooke founded the World Travel Awards (WTA) in 1993 to recognize and reward achievement in the travel industry. It is a globally renowned accolade. Asia, the Caribbean, Central America, North America, Oceania, South America, Africa, Europe, the Indian Ocean, and the Middle East were the categories for this year’s awards.
Despite the pandemic, 2.3 million votes were cast for the 2022 list last year, a record in the WTA’s 29-year history. This is a fantastic response, especially for individuals in the tourist business. The votes are cast by competent industry leaders and the consumer travel consumer.
Malaysia Received Total Of Six Awards:
Malaysia Airlines was awarded the Leading Airline (Business Class), while AirAsia was awarded the Leading Low-Cost Airline and the Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew. Meanwhile, Tune Hotel KLIA-KLIA2 has been designated Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel. One World Hotel was awarded Leading Meetings & Conference Hotel, while Pangkor Laut Resort was awarded Leading Water Villa Resort.
Singapore earned many accolades as well, most significantly the Leading Airline and Leading Airport titles for Singapore Airlines and Singapore Changi Airport, respectively. Despite being one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations for years, Osaka, Japan wins the Leading Emerging Tourism Destination title.
Vietnam was awarded Asia’s Leading Nature Destination because of its stunning reserves such as the Can Gio Mangrove Forest, Cat Tien National Park, the Red River Delta, and Western Nghe An. Cambodia received its first WTA awards for Leading Cultural Destination and Leading Youth Travel Destination. Trip.com, one of the world’s largest online travel booking platforms, has been awarded Asia’s Leading Online Travel Agency, with over 400 million customers.
