A parachute jump from the top of Fort Lauderdale hotel went wrong and the man who undertook that jump had to be rushed to the hospital. Police and fire rescue teams arrived at the scene on Saturday morning, 22 Jan, at the Hyatt Centric hotel.
The man is reported to have landed much quicker than anticipated at the Huizenga Park across the street. His jump seems to have been captured by some people on the phone cameras.
The man was transported to hospital by paramedics, and the condition of his injuries is unknown at the moment. It is to be noted that parachute jumping requires formal training, without which the action could prove to be highly dangerous.
The hotel was being used by a film crew, but there is no confirmation whether the man was a part of the film crew or not. The Hyatt Centric hotel has declined to comment on the incident.
