Sandpiper Hospitality has entered into an exclusive partnership with Impulsify in the grab-and-go retail business, and will be starting several high-profile hotel development projects. Their first retail project is scheduled for launch in February this year.
Before the pandemic, Impulsify used to sell their front desk POS solution, ImpulsePoint. Their self-service kiosk used to receive lukewarm interest from the hotels. However, the pandemic changed all that. The sales of the ShopPoP self service kiosk saw a dramatic increase of 235 percent. Their kiosks proved to be a major hit as more and more hotels began to introduce grab-and-go options for their guests.
“Sandpiper Hospitality has chosen to align on an exclusive basis with Impulsify, a company that is changing the game in grab-n-go markets in hotels and beyond,” said Jim Darter, president of Sandpiper Hospitality.
The duo of Sandpiper and Impulsify will put up a custom-designed self-service grab-and-go market at the first Wyndham dual-brand offering, La Quinta/Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Pflugerville, Texas,
Impulsify recommends product combinations based on the kind of hotel, guest demographics, geography, best sellers, and developing trends based on proprietary retail performance data from more than 15 million hotel retail transactions plugged into their POS solutions. Healthy selections, higher quality indulgent goods, and larger portion sizes were the obvious expectations of today’s clients, according to product performance statistics from 2021.
Impulsify can recommend products to guests based on the type of hotel they are staying in, the guest profile, location, emerging trends and a host of other parameters. Its recommendations are based on its proprietary retail performance data coming from more than 15 million hotel retail transactions which are dong through its POS solutions.
