Indonesia has transformed its entry process for international visitors by introducing the mandatory All Indonesia digital arrival card—a sweeping new requirement launched in major airports on September 1, 2025 and becoming universal at all international airports by October 1, 2025. This digital system centralizes and streamlines the submission of customs, immigration, health, and quarantine declarations, eliminating the old paper forms and making entry more efficient and user-friendly.
Travelers—both foreign and Indonesian—must complete the All Indonesia arrival card (available on the official website or a new mobile app) up to three days before entering the country or upon arrival via QR code at the airport. The declaration integrates critical checks, promotes border health and safety, and supports food security by including animal and product reporting. While the process is free, completing it ahead of time is highly recommended to avoid delays at airport Controls (Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine).
Importantly, this new system is separate from existing visa requirements (eVisa on Arrival, standard visa, and Bali’s tourism tax levy) which must still be fulfilled independently. Travelers arriving in Bali must now complete three online steps before arrival: eVisa, All Indonesia arrival card, and the Bali Tourism Tax payment. The unified digital process aims to modernize travel, shorten arrival times, and create a safer, simpler airport experience for all visitors—including elderly and disabled passengers.
Key Points:
- Indonesia’s “All Indonesia” digital arrival card mandatory from September 2025 (all airports by October 1).
- Submit customs, immigration, health, and quarantine details online pre-arrival or via QR code on arrival.
- System available via app and website; process is free, but must be completed by all travelers.
- Not a visa replacement—visa and Bali tax levy must still be completed separately.
- Designed to speed up arrivals, integrate security, and improve the travel experience for all passengers.
Indonesia’s new app-based entry requirement is a major step toward efficient, secure, and traveler-friendly border management, helping ease entry for millions of global visitors each year.
