Hilton grows Middle East Pipeline as Market Recovers

The pipeline for Hilton hotels has grown to 146 lodges and over 35,000 rooms in the Dubai, UAE, led by Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development for Hilton, MEA.

According to the most recent STR data, the flagship Hilton Accommodations and resorts model leads the way as the MEA’s biggest pipeline model by number of rooms, with the midscale Hilton Backyard Inn and upmarket DoubleTree by Hilton both ranking in the top five.

With a focus on natural progress, Pipeline statistic remains strong despite continuing to carry out major works from start to finish.

Khneisser stated “Looking at this year alone, we have already opened many marquee properties, including Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas island, Hilton Salwa Beach and LXR mango House Seychelles. The outlook of these openings looks more positive in the medium term, as we are finally on-track with development plans across the region, in next few years we may see Middle East and Africa portfolio increased by Hilton group.”

Hilton’s current new signing in MEA has been confirmed at present as  DoubleTree by Hilton Douala, which is able to develop into its second home in Cameroon.

The Société Nouvelle des Cocotiers partnerships with the multimillion greenback renovation of Douala Rabingha Resort, where it’s expected to be open with 141 guestrooms in year 2023.
