A recent study by Slingo has revealed the most popular holiday destinations for couples based on TikTok posts and hashtag views. TikTok has become a key platform for holiday research, with 82% of UK users crediting it for inspiring new travel ideas.
Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, tops the list with 27.0 million TikTok posts, making it the most popular couples’ holiday destination on the platform. Known for its shopping options and adventurous activities like speed boating and skydiving, Dubai offers a mix of experiences for couples.
London, United Kingdom, takes second place with 9.5 million TikTok posts. The city’s iconic landmarks such as Big Ben and the London Eye, along with its shopping districts and world-class museums, make it an attractive destination for couples.
Paris, France, rounds out the top three with 7.8 million TikTok posts. As the city of love, Paris offers romantic experiences like visiting the Eiffel Tower and exploring its rich culinary scene.
Other notable findings include Bali being the top location for couples’ holidays, receiving the highest score of 8.07 out of 10. Italy leads in romantic restaurants, with four locations in the top 10. Additionally, Instagram data shows that London, Paris, and Istanbul are the most popular couples’ destinations on the platform.
The study highlights the growing influence of social media platforms like TikTok in shaping travel decisions and inspiring couples to explore new destinations.
