In Nepal’s Pokhara region, The Pavilions Himalayas, an eco-luxury resort, has partnered with the nonprofit organization Right4Children (R4C) to foster sustainable community development. Over the past decade, this collaboration has implemented various social and educational initiatives, significantly enhancing the lives of local residents.
A notable accomplishment is the completion of the five-year Child-Friendly School (CFS) project, which has positively impacted over 14,000 students across 26 community schools. The project provided essential resources such as teacher training, dental health camps, art workshops, and digital learning tools, thereby enriching the educational environment. Additionally, infrastructure improvements, including upgraded classrooms and enhanced lighting, have created more conducive learning spaces.
In 2024, R4C introduced the School Improvement for Quality Assurance and Enhancement in Education (SIQAEE) project, targeting 20 schools in the Nawalpur district. This initiative focuses on infrastructure development, early childhood programs, teacher training, and the integration of information and communication technology, aiming to elevate educational standards in the region.
Beyond education, R4C has launched an anti-trafficking initiative that has reached over 4,400 young women and girls, offering vital support and rehabilitation services. These comprehensive efforts underscore The Pavilions Himalayas and Right4Children’s commitment to empowering local communities and promoting sustainable development in Nepal.
