IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands Luxury & Lifestyle Portfolio in Europe with Six Hotel Indigo Properties

IHG Hotels & Resorts, a leading global hospitality company, is boosting its Luxury & Lifestyle estate in Europe with the addition of six Hotel Indigo properties. These new additions will further strengthen the brand’s presence in key European markets, offering travelers unique experiences deeply rooted in local neighborhoods.

Expanding the Hotel Indigo Brand

Hotel Indigo, known for its focus on capturing the spirit of local neighborhoods, is rapidly expanding with 143 open hotels and a robust pipeline of 127 properties worldwide. The brand is quickly establishing itself in must-visit destinations worldwide.

The New Additions

  1. Hotel Indigo Bordeaux, France: Located in the bohemian district of Le Quartier des Chartrons, this hotel features 100 guest rooms, four meeting rooms, and a rooftop restaurant with stunning views over the Garonne River. It offers convenient access to the tramway, the main train station, and the Cité du Vin wine and trade museum.
  2. Hotel Indigo Trieste – Palazzo Kalister, Italy: A conversion project in partnership with Gruppo CHC, this historic 19th Century palace will be transformed into a 107-room hotel, opening in 2025. It is situated near the Italian/Slovenian border and benefits from cruise ship tourism, a local port, and a major convention center.
  3. Hotel Indigo Florence, Italy: Opening in late 2023, this 160-key property is conveniently located near historic Florence attractions such as the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. It features two destination restaurants, an interior courtyard bar, a gym, and underground parking.
  4. Hotel Indigo Turin, Italy: This 50-room hotel, set to open later this year in partnership with Gruppo CHC, is located in the historic heart of Turin, close to key landmarks such as Piazza Castello, the Royal Theatre and Gardens, and the Palasport Olimpico arena.
  5. Hotel Indigo Jerez, Spain: A conversion project in partnership with Meravo Management AS, this 78-room hotel in Jerez will open in early 2025. It comprises two historic Andalusian buildings and is ideally situated for guests visiting local attractions like the Alcázar de Jerez de la Frontera, the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, and the Sherry Triangle.
  6. Hotel Indigo Faro, Portugal: This 127-room hotel, opening in mid-2025, features a stunning rooftop swimming pool with views of the lagoon and marina. It is signed in partnership with Mercan Properties and immerses visitors in the unique story of Faro, the capital of the Algarve region.
