In August 2022, US-International air traffic passenger enplanements (APIS/I-92 arrivals + departures) totaled 20.014 million, an increase of 80% over August 2021.

The United States and Mexico had the most overall air passenger travel (arrivals and departures) with 3.07 million, followed by Canada with 2.37 million, the United Kingdom with 1.66 million, Germany with 985k, and the Dominican Republic with 895k.
In August 2022, nonstop air travel will begin. Non-U.S. citizen air passenger arrivals in the United States from other nations totaled 4.477 million, up 96% from August 2021 and down 28.7% from August 2019.
U.S. Citizen Air Passenger Departures from the United States to Foreign Countries totaled 4.919 million, an increase of +64% over August 2021 and a decrease of (-7.4%) over August 2019.
International Regional Air Travel To and From the US:
Europe had 6.703 million passengers, a 172% increase over August 2021 but a -18.8% decrease over August 2019.
London Heathrow (LHR) had 1.38 million passengers, Cancun (CUN) had 1.05 million, Toronto (YYZ) had 956k, Paris (CDG) had 726k, and Mexico City (MEX) had 701k.
South/Central America/Caribbean totaled 4.816 million, a 28% increase over August 2021 but a (-6.6%) decrease over August 2019.
Asia totaled 1.384 million passengers, a 192% increase over August 21, but a 61% decrease from August 2019.
