Formula One has announced that Qatar Airways will be its global airline partner in a long-term agreement that will run until 2027. Qatar Airways has thus replaced Emirates in the deal.
The three Grand Prix events in 2023 – the Hungarian Grand Prix, the “Gran Premio del Made in Italy e dell ‘Emilia-Romagna” in Italy, and Qatar (which is coming back to the Formula One calendar) – will be supported by Qatar Airways.
Both partners have expressed their desire to collaborate towards reducing their carbon footprint on the environment. The statement highlighted a shared commitment to exploring renewable fuels, which both entities have already utilised in limited quantities.
Qatar Airways’ agreement with Formula One not only presents opportunities for brand exposure but also includes several offerings such as special travel packages for motorsports enthusiasts, on-site tickets to witness live races, and a range of other hospitality options and Formula One-related activities.
