The colossal heart of aviation is unveiled at the Boeing Future of Flight facility, where an exclusive journey through the expansive world of aircraft production is promised by a revamped tour. Welcomed with a new and improved tour route, the inner workings of the Boeing 777 assembly line and an intricate network of underground tunnels are revealed to guests.
Celebrating over 50 years of captivating over six million visitors, the tour begins at the Boeing Future of Flight Museum, leading them to the Everett factory. Here, tens of thousands of dedicated employees orchestrate the production of iconic Boeing aircraft, such as the 747, 767, 777, and 787 Dreamliner.
Venturing through the factory’s subterranean labyrinth, visitors ascend to an observation balcony offering a panoramic view of the awe-inspiring 777 assembly line. This factory, a Guinness World Record holder for the largest building by volume, sprawls over 98.3 acres, leaving a monumental footprint of more than 98 million cubic feet.
Christi Medlyn, Boeing Future of Flight General Manager, expresses the excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to reopen our factory tour experience. With the rebound in tourism, we are pleased to once again share this exclusive look into one of the world’s most interesting factories.”
Beyond the factory floors, guests can explore the Boeing Future of Flight Museum, a testament to Boeing’s 107-year legacy. Interactive experiences, educational programs, and inspiring tours aim to captivate both adults and children alike. The journey continues with a visit to the Gallery, Sky Deck, and the flagship Boeing Store.
