This move will dramatically increase Choice’s footprint in the country from 57 to 107 franchised hotels, introducing more than 4,800 new rooms across over 30 cities. The newly onboarded hotels will be strategically located across a diverse mix of locations: 26% in major urban centers such as Marseille, Toulouse, and Bordeaux; 52% in mid-sized suburban cities including Rennes, Chambery, and Colmar; and 22% in smaller yet popular tourist towns like Quiberon, Dinan, and Mèze. Most properties are near airports, public transit, or city centers, accommodating business, leisure, and long-term stay travelers alike. All 50 new hotels will participate in Choice Hotels’ Choice Privileges loyalty program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points across a network of 7,100+ hotels worldwide, enhancing customer loyalty and value.
This bold expansion builds on significant international growth achieved earlier in 2025 across Asia, Latin America, and the Americas. Choice Hotels continues to expand in key global markets with strategic partnerships and new openings—including a recent entry into Argentina and a deepening footprint in Canada through direct franchising as well as a master franchise agreement in China targeting substantial room additions.
