Hays Travel has successfully acquired the Just Go Travel portfolio of travel agency stores in the North West and North Wales, strengthening its presence in these regions. The acquisition encompasses 45 out of 46 shops previously operated by Just Go Travel.
Notably, Just Go Travel had a longstanding partnership with Hays Travel, serving as both an Independence Group member and a franchisee. Don Bircham, the owner and Managing Director of Just Go Travel, has been associated with Hays Travel for over two decades, initially as an Independence Group member more than 22 years ago and later as a franchisee since 2015.
Don Bircham expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, highlighting the security it provides for all 300 employees. He stated, “It gives me great comfort that all my staff have found a great home with Hays Travel, our partners for over 20 years. All 300 jobs are safe and secure.” He also extended his gratitude to Dame Irene Hays for her support in recent years and to her late husband John.
