Marine and Lawn Hotel & Resorts is a brand-new collection of luxury resorts in the world’s most prestigious golf venues. Its first three sites will be located in beautiful Scotland, one of the world’s most renowned golf locations.
“We’re pleased to be launching the first Marine & Lawn properties and to give visitors with amazing experiences to Scotland’s most prominent leisure locations”, Ben Weprin, founder and CEO of AJ Capital Partners.
“Our team is highly enthusiastic about creating unique gathering places, and it has been a privilege to offer a fresh hospitality experience to some of the world’s most sought and historic sites.”
Rusacks St. Andrews and Marine North Berwick are the first two properties to open. The ancient buildings were fully refurbished and redesigned, drawing influence from the coastline landscape, Scotland’s legendary golf heritage, and traditional Scottish patterns.
Rusacks St. Andrews, which has 120 rooms and a 42,000-square-foot extension, boasts panoramic views of the world’s oldest golf course, Old Course, and the Fife Coast. At the reception counter, guests are greeted by a historic St. Andrews Coat of Arms insignia and a set of classic crossed Scottish flags.
Marine & Lawn teamed up with restaurant developer White Rabbit Projects to open and operate all food and beverage outlets at Rusacks St Andrews and Marine North Berwick.
Marine & Lawn has another Scottish report acquisition in the works: Marine Troon in Troon, Scotland, on the Ayrshire Coast. The existing hotel will remain open until the end of 2021 before being completely renovated and reopened as part of the Marine & lawn collection in 2022. The hotel provides uninterrupted views of Royal Troon’s Old Course’s first and 18th fairways, which has hosted nine Open Championships.
