Lionel Messi, an Argentinian icon, is not only one of the best soccer players of all time, but he is also a successful scoring businessman. Messi has owned the hotel brand MiM hotels since 2017, which is run by Majestic Hotel Group, which is overseen by his brother Rodrigo.
Messi adds the Hotel MiM Baquiera, located close to the lifts at Spain’s greatest winter resort in the heart of the Pyrenees in the Aran Valley, to his increasing portfolio, including Sitges, Ibiza, and Mallorca.
The four-star hotel, which has 141 rooms, has opened in a spectacular location near the gondola lift and at the bottom of the ski slopes. The hotel rooms provide views of the Aran Valley. There is a spa, an indoor pool, a fitness centre, and mountain guide services available at the hotel.
The accommodations offer duplexes, suites, and junior suites with modest yet beautiful mountain-style décor. Restaurant Land, which serves Aranese and worldwide cuisine, is one of the dining alternatives. Reservations will be accepted in October 2021.
Messi has a natural rivalry with soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, who manages a thriving budget hotel chain named Pestana CR7, with locations in Lisbon and Madeira. But, for the time being, Messi tops the pack with a burgeoning hospitality empire that includes numerous additional sites scheduled for 2023.
Following the pandemic shutdowns of 2020, the MiM Hotel establishments that are open provide Covid testing on-premises at all of their locations.
Don’t just believe Messi’s main company is hotels; he also owns his own booming apparel line MESSI, which is headed by his sister Maria Sol Messi and Tommy Hilfiger’s sister Ginny Hilfiger.
