The study highlights the cities that have witnessed notable fluctuations in international flight prices, as well as the regions experiencing significant changes in airfare. With an average increase of 18% compared to the previous year, equivalent to approximately $168 per ticket, international airfare prices have surged, impacting all U.S. cities with international routes.

Despite the escalating prices, the demand for international travel remains strong, even as availability may be limited for certain destinations. The study reveals the top five cities facing the most significant spikes in international airfare compared to 2022:

  1. Philadelphia, PA: Observing a steep 23.5% increase in airfare.
  2. Miami, FL: Experiencing a substantial 23.4% increase in airfare.
  3. Tampa, FL: Facing a notable 22.2% increase in airfare.
  4. Charlotte, NC: Witnessing a significant 22.1% increase in airfare.
