As per Thomas Cook and SOTC Travel research, tourism in India has increased by 35%. With the Indian government’s emphasis on connection and infrastructure development, many destinations are gaining popularity.
According to Thomas Cook, its product offering has been broadened in this regard to provide a selection of distinctive local experiences spanning culture, food, and outdoor adventure.
World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) research has revealed that the tourism sector’s contribution to the Indian economy could soon surpass pre-pandemic levels in 2022.
Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO, said: “After the pain suffered by India’s Travel & Tourism sector, the future looks bright with Travel & Tourism to and from India set to exceed 2019 levels.”
