TravelAI Launches New Luxury Villa Metasearch Site

TravelAI has announced the launch of a new metasearch site targeting luxury travelers seeking villas, short-term rentals, and holiday homes in the Mediterranean and Caribbean regions.

The site, Casai.com, is the result of TravelAI’s acquisition and rebranding of the domain previously associated with Casai, a Latin American short-term rental startup that ceased operations last July despite raising over $50 million since 2019.

TravelAI CEO John Lyotier emphasized the speed and efficiency of the rebranding process, completed in just a few days using artificial intelligence technology and their multi-site content platform.

“Our philosophy is to operate at speed and scale,” Lyotier said. “Now that it is launched, we anticipate a lot more tweaks to the brand and site using the data we gather to service the needs of travelers, increasing the personalization and relevance one visitor at a time.”

The acquisition was solely for the domain name, which Lyotier explained as a blend of the words ‘Casa’ and ‘AI,’ reflecting their use of AI to enhance the travel experience.

TravelAI utilizes AI to connect travelers with properties that match their needs, preferences, and behaviors. Their portfolio of more than 350 consumer websites includes niche sites like Rent by Owner, Hotala, Vacation Cottages, Cabinns, and now Casai.

These sites recommend properties listed on online travel agency partners like Booking.com and Expedia Group’s Vrbo, which handle all bookings.

Chris Jensen, TravelAI’s chief operating officer, highlighted the brand’s profitability strategy, emphasizing their economies of scale, AI technology, and effective traffic monetization.

“We are entering a new world for travel-related companies, and we anticipate significant changes in how travelers are supported along their journey,” Jensen said.
